Domestic Engineer In Charge

I recently retired from a 50-year career in marketing communications, aka advertising and public relations. My new full time job is Domestic Engineer in Charge. For the last 13 years, I was the associate publisher for a magazine in Houston, Texas, where I grew up. I currently live in Pearland which is south of Houston

My life as a Domestic Engineer is defined by spray cleaner, loading/unloading the dish washer, washing clothes, dust bunnies, weed pulling, grocery shopping, cooking and cat wrangling. The pay isn’t great, but that’s OK retirement is cool.

Opting in will be about the choices I make as a newly retired workaholic to stay grounded without routines, commitments and demands. Other posts will be about people who made turning point decisions that beat the odds. Expect a range of topics, photos and quotes.
